November 2013 Letter
Dear brethren,
In the first epistle to the Corinthians, St. Paul compares Adam and Christ saying: “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive” (1Co 15: 22). From the book of Genesis, we can see further comparisons between them:

| v Adam and Eve united to become one flesh. | v Unites spiritually with those who believe in Him. |
| v Eve became one body / one flesh with Adam “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh” (Gen 2: 23). | v The church is the body of Christ and He is the head: “For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones” (Eph 5: 20). |
| v “a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife” (Gen 2: 24). | v Christ left His heavenly glory and His Jewish nation to abide with His church. |
| v Eve took her name from Adam: “She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man” (Gen 2: 24). | v The church was named after Christ, thus the believers are called “Christians”. |
| v Was the head of the creation, managing it to glorify God. | v Reigns over the believers leading them to praise God. |
| v Named all the animals. | v He is the Good Shepherd who calls each of His sheep by its name. |
